Can I Really Be Hypnotized? What If I Don’t Go Under?
One of the most common concerns I hear from new clients is:
“What if I can’t be hypnotized?” or “What if it doesn’t work on me?”
These are valid questions, especially if you've never experienced hypnosis or you're unsure what to expect from a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) session. The good news is that this doubt is more common than you think, and it doesn’t mean you won’t have a successful session.
Let’s clear up the confusion and ease your mind.
💫 What Is Hypnosis, Really?
Hypnosis isn’t about losing control or being unconscious. It’s a natural, relaxed state of focused awareness, very much like the feeling you get just before drifting off to sleep or when you're so absorbed in a book or movie that you forget where you are.
In a QHHT session, we gently guide you into this deep theta brainwave state, where your conscious mind takes a step back and your subconscious (also called the Higher Self) can speak freely. You're never asleep or unconscious, you’re simply very, very relaxed.
🌙 “But I Don’t Think I Was Hypnotized…”
It’s surprisingly common for clients to come out of a session and say,
“I don’t think I was under. I could hear everything.”
And yet, when we review the session together, it becomes clear they were in a hypnotic state. Here's why:
They were under for over an hour (which never feels that long).
They answered questions they didn’t consciously know the answers to.
They often use the phrase, “I don’t know where that came from…”
Their voice or tone may shift slightly, especially when the Higher Self is speaking.
The conscious mind wants to remember being hypnotized the way movies portray it, with a swinging pocket watch and total oblivion. But QHHT is far more subtle and intuitive. The conscious mind is often still present but quiet. That’s perfectly normal, and exactly how it should be.
🌟 Why It Still Works (Even If You Think It Didn’t)
Here’s the truth: If you were relaxed, followed my voice, and responded to questions, you were in hypnosis.
Even if it didn’t feel like what you expected, the subconscious was still speaking.
The real measure of success isn't how “deep” you think you went, it's what information came through, how you felt afterward, and the shifts you experience in the days and weeks following your session.
🌀 Let Go of the Pressure
The best thing you can do for your QHHT session is to release any pressure to “do it right.” There's no right or wrong way to experience hypnosis. All you need is:
An open mind
A willingness to relax and go inward
Trust in the process (even if it’s new to you)
The rest will unfold naturally.
✨ Final Note
If you're asking, “Can I be hypnotized?” the answer is yes, you absolutely can.
Every person can enter the theta state. It’s part of our natural rhythm. And when you allow yourself to soften into that space with curiosity, incredible healing and insight can emerge.
Still have doubts? That’s okay. Bring them with you. Your Higher Self already knows you’re ready, even if your conscious mind is still catching up.
